[vtkusers] VTK3.1 - problems with vtktcl

Hello All,

I am trying to re-animate a C++ application that was developed at our 
department several years ago, using VTK3.1. Thus I am using this "old" 
version of VTK. The application also needs Tcl Wrapping.

I already managed to install VTK3.1 on my SuSE-Linux 8 system, using the way 
that is described in the README.html for vtk31 and in the VTK-Linux-HOWTO. 
After installation I made vtktcl in the vtk31/tcl directory.

When trying to run vtktcl, an error message occurs (in german): 
"Speicherschutzverletzung", which I think is "segmentation fault" in english.

Are there any paths or environment variables to be set, other than those 
mentioned in README.html or VTK-Linux-HOWTO?

If anybody has any idea about what could be wrong, please tell me!
