[vtkusers] How to use vtk with java?

I installed vtk40forjava. But when I use javac to compile the tutorial code 
"Cone2.java". It says "package vtk does not exist". I have copied the 
vtk.jar into the java lib directory. 
I do not know why it can not find the vtk package. 
How to configure vtk for java program?
