[vtkusers] Subdivide a polydata with threshold

Hi all,
  I am looking for a filter that would subdivide a polydata (composed of
triangles) into 4 triangles...but with a threshold. I would like to
subdivide a triangle only if it is bigger than a specified threshold.
I took a look to vtkLoopSubdivisionFilter, vtkLinearSubdivisionFilter,
vtkInterpolatingSubdivisionFilter, vtkButterflySubdivisionFilter and
vtkApproximatingSubdivisionFilter. But none of them seems to have this
possibility.
Am I missing something ?
