3D Visualization : Do you know Walkinside?
 
WALKINSIDE 2.0 is the first 3D visualization tool based on a real time
collision detection technology. This software converts in no time very
complex industrial projects (offshore oil platform models as large as
500MB containing more than 600.000 pipes and elbows ) to immediately
allow the users to "walk inside" them like in video games.  The users
see a project through the eyes of a virtual human character: they are
aware about the obstacles, touch the ground, climb stairs and are
conscious of the size of the elements, etc. contrary to other design
review applications which only let a user fly around in the model like a
ghost. Thanks to its real time collision detection, Walkinside has a new
world of applications to deliver, e.g. maintenance and safety training.
