Hi,
I'm looking for a starting point for a general presentation of
matrix/tabular/time-sequence data.
As an example, take stockmarket data. (This isn't the requirement but easy
to describe).
Say X stocks, by Y days, Z1 low price for day, Z2 high price, Z3/4/5 some
other optional params.
The Z params can be encoded as colours, transparency, stacked histogram
blocks, etc on one X-Y plane, or as separate X-Y planes. Graphical style
could be selectable amongst plain rectanguloid blocks, sloped mountain range
effect, lines, point markers etc. I can deal with the labelling, axes, and
all the frills, just looking for a solid starting point for the data reading
and rendering into a series of "planes". Prefer VTK 3.2 & also Tcl, we have
other code here which currently forces us to stay that config, ie. this
facility will be integrated into an existing app.
Atdhvaannkcse !
