[vtkusers] vtkImageReader problem

If you checked it out yesterday, it was a bad day for ImageReader. Today it is fine again (I
believe).

Hello all.

Some months ago I began using vtkImageWriter/Reader to temporarily store
large 3D 16-bit datasets, to support streaming (assuming it would be
needed).  In setting up a new Win2000 machine, I installed the most recent
VTK from CVS - and vtkImageReader no longer opens the files.  I see that
changes have been made recently to the vtkImageReader code, but I don't know
whether this is by design.  If so, can someone recommend a good current
choice for a writer/reader pair?  If not . . . uh, help?
