[vtkusers] Using VTK on different systems

Hi Carlos,

VTK builds and runs on OSX using the Carbon API every night.

I don't think Java wrapping works due to a library loading bug, but 
don't have confirmation of that.

XDarwin builds should work, but graphics won't be hardware accelerated.
