[vtkusers] modifying quadric clustering

has anybody ever thought of producing a quadric clustering
not necessarily having all of X/Y/Z divisions.

It would be very profitable to simplify surfaces for which quadric clustering can produce 2 planes at a coordinate, 
instead of a better looking unique one.

Would it be difficult ?
