[vtkusers] Blue DEMs

Somehow, the surface depiction of a DEM file for
terrain modeling appears blue!

I've been able to work around this annoying issue by
setting the ambient to full white and then mapping a
texture. However, the image loses the diffusion and
specular effects.

Any help would be appreciated.
