[vtkusers] Can I read the dicom files in vtk using the implemented classes in Slicer?

Hi, I want to read some dicom files of mri images. How can I do it in vtk 
and is it possible to use the classes of Slicer? I tried to do it but I had 
some linkage problems. How can I link the classes of slicer to vtkdll?
