OK, I'm starting to look into the missing triangle problem.
I've downloaded VTK 3.2 and I'm compiling it now. Is there a
sample program which exhibits the problem? I'd like someone
to explain exactly how to reproduce the bug with minimal hassle.
By the way, the vtk3.2/README.html file should be updated.
The Mesa website hasn't been at www.ssec.wisc.edu for years.
Also, the Unix installation instructions are:
1) untar the src files
2) untar the data files
3) cd vtk
4) ./configure
5) read and edit user.make
6) make
I'm building from the vtk32-src-unix.tgz source archive but
I have no idea where to get the (non-RPM) "data files" from.
Regarding the VTK build process, I think that 'user.make' could
have some more reasonable default values. At least on RedHat
7.2, using /usr/include and /usr/lib for Tcl, Tk and Mesa works.
