[vtkusers] slow MIP

Hello,

I am trying to build a efficient pipeline for MIP visualisation.
I started from the example VolMIP.tcl, but since it is very slow on my
computer,
I am looking for ways to improve interactivity with the mip.
VtkRayCaster may provide solutions with its multi-resolution properties.

Has someone used this class ?  Any examples ?

And more generally, what should I do to accelerate the mip rendering
( without losing quality of course!) ?
