[vtkusers] Connected Component labelling for 3D points

Hi VTK gurus,

I have a following question on how to do connected component labelling for
3D points (in PolyData).

Let, 3D points as shown below: ( In this figure 'X' denotes (x,y,z) point in
space)


                   X X X X                  X X X 
                   X X X X                    X X
                     X X         X        X X X X
                       X      X X X        X X 
	       
Now, I want to label  above  data points into  different sets based on
neighbourhood connectivity. 
Is there any existing algorithms in vtk to do this kind of stuff.  

Pl. send me some suggestions.
