[vtkusers] Picking in Java?

Hi,

this is supposed to be simple, but I just can't find the solution:

Using vtk with Java, I want to pick a point (Vertex/PolyData) and get
the scalar value of this point. From the Picker I can get coordinates,
ID, Actor and DataSet. Usually one gets the PointData from the DataSet
and the Scalars from the PointData. But - these methods don't exist in
the Java Wrappers!

Does anyone have a workaround?
I appreciate any help!!!
