Thanks, David, but it still doesn't work for me.  I must
have some system things hosed.

Another topic:

Does anyone know where the various VTK
envornment variables for Linux/unix are documented?
For instance, I see in one of the tcl files reference
VTK_TCK but I've not seen it referenced in the book
(User's Guide) nor anywhere else.
