You _can_ use Java with a Qt GUI. There is a library called QtJava,
which uses JNI to access the C++-Classes of Qt. I read an article about
it in a german magazine called FreeX. But I don't know how to display a
vtkWindow within a Qt-GUI. Maybe Gowri Gopalakrishnan's post "vtk as
JNI" may help or one of those Qt posts in this usergroup.
