[vtkusers] represent PolyData in edges

When I use vtkExtractEdges to present vtkPolyData in edges, it seems that I lost some points. the number of points after using vtkExtractEdges is decreased. Does anyone know how to convert any PolyData to lines and at the same time keep the number of points?
