[vtkusers] Vtk on Win2000 / ANSI build issues

Hi Sebastien,

Nice to know that others are wrestling with things like the
slow Win32 build with VTK_USE_ANSI_STDLIB ... But I can live
with that. More serious is that under Win2000 I seem to
loose 4MB every time I load the vtk DLLs. E.g. every time
I run a TCL example, or execute the MFC "Sample" app, or of
course my own larger appication. I do not think I had this
problem under NT 4.0. Could it be the way Win2000 manages DLLs
that are not formally/fully released? First noticed this
behaviour while using the set of DLLs from the nightly
versions, but found the same problem when linking with
the single vtkdll.dll. Almost at the stage where I will
consider building a static lib :-(

Might the problem have something to do with a usage count
for e.g. class factories never getting back to zero?

Thanks for any suggestions!
Nigel
