[vtkusers] cutting through unstructured grid

I am working with unstructured grids and I would like to generate a cutting
plane that just shows a section through the grid. The problem is that
vtkCutter subdivides the cut cells so that the final polydata looks like
triangles - where the original cells were either quadralaterals or
hexahedrons. Is there some way of making a section view that preserves the
outlines of the original cells?
