[vtkusers] Data Streaming Question ?

Hello All, 

I have been working with DataStreaming of a huge dataset for a while
now. I have the Custom Reader, which I have based on vtkBMPReader. 

I have a pipeline setup like this.

vtkPegasusDataReader pegasus
pegasus SetFileName field2
pegasus SetScalarNumber 3

vtkImageDataStreamer streamer
streamer SetInput [pegasus GetOutput]
streamer SetSplitModeToZSlab
streamer SetMemoryLimit 50000

vtkImageMarchingCubes cubes
cubes SetInput [streamer GetOutput]
cubes SetValue 0 0.6
cubes SetInputMemoryLimit 50000

vtkPolyDataMapper ...
.
.

Since I have set the SplitMode to ZSlab, I was expecting the DataExtent
Increments requested to read to be along the Z Direction. But the debug
output from the program shows increments also along the X-Direction. 

This causes lots of for loops to read the data.

Can someone please tell me why this behaviour occurs. ?
