[vtkusers] Visualization of 2D Structured Points in 3D

Dear VTK-users,

I have a problem, I don't know how to solve. :(

I have satellite's orbit, which can be quite strange, depending on
coordinate system,  and I want to visualize data along the orbit.
Data are simple structured points, which I whant to present as a colour
spectrogram.

What pipeline should I use? I can present this spectrogram in 2D, but I
need it to be a ribbon-surface, laying with one edge on the orbit.

Please give me a hint.
