Which graphics card to buy?

OK, that part was all right for me :), I'm still able to divide one by 4 at 
7 PM :))

My "problem" was : "The Erazor X (and Quadra) have easily 4X the texture 
speed of the 320"
By 4X, you mean 4 times faster than the 320, don't you ? :) But the links 
given above has some interesting data :

PC 2xPentium II 400Mhz, Windows NT4/SP4, VTK 2.3
Creative Annihilator Pro GeForce 256

strips : 1023 kpolys/s @256x256 res.
texture : 382 kpolys/s @256x256 res.

Whereas :

SGI Visual Workstation 320, 2xPentium II 450 MHz, Windows NT4.0

strips : 4360 kpolys/s @512x512 res.
texture : 1031 kpolys/s @512x512 res.
