Hello,

we have been trying to compile VTK (Version 3.12 and it predecessor) on
a Windows NT machine, using the Borland C++ compiler version 5.02 and
the makefiles generated by the PCmaker program that comes with VTK.
However, although the compilation is not a problem at all, we haven't
been able to get the Borland Compiler and its linker (ilink32 and
tlink32) to successfully link the vtk.dll or vtk.tcl files. The linkers
always request an option -ç that is not specified for the linker. We
also attempted to compile VTK using Code Warrior, but ran into much more
trouble.

We were wondering if anyone has made a similar experience and knows the
solution to the problem. We are running VTK successfully on an SGI and
didn't have problems with the installation at all, but the PC causes
some hiccups.

Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions,

Sebastian.
