Dear VTK users,
I want to view molecules with vtk...that is easy (at least the way i am
doing it....).
What I did was create spheres from vtkSphereSource, create
vtkPolyDataMappers for each atom type (all I need is nitrogen, oxygen,
hydrogen, carbon and sulfur). Each vtkPolyDataMapper define the radius of
the sphere (atom)...the colors are the standard but i have to assign them
to the spheres (vtkActor) because i can´t assign them to the
vtkPolyDataMapper....
Then after creating the vtkPolyDataMapper I created the actors (spheres)
which have the correspondent vtkPolyDataMapper assignes to them, and then I
gave them positions (xyz coordinates from ProteinDataBank files PDB)...
So basically for those who don't understand anything about
chemistry...what I have is a set of point coordinates to each I assign
balls corresponding to each atom, with different size and colors....what I
want:
How can I create a Isosurface around these spheres? I have seen the
example in vtkLogo.tcl and the transparent surface around the letters is
what I need...but I can´t apply it....How can I do it?
Tanks for the help!!
