Nightly : Troubled by Triangles

[first attempt failed, apologies if this arrives twice]

Dear vtk...

Using Nightly release Sun Nov 21st

Trianglefilter seems to be using a very large amount of memory.

28000 polygons converted to triangles increased system memory from around
120MB to (yes really) 470MB, a snippet at 350MB. That's a princely 12500
bytes per polygon. Not bad.

Memory went through the roof when first executed, then flattened out and
fell to normal, then after 50% completed, it repeated the same pattern and
rose again. After 100% execution it went back to normal and all memory
seemed to be freed on completion and nice triangles emerged from the far end.

I'm not reporting a bug as such, but is this normal? - I mean 350MB ? To
triangulate some polygons?
