Off topic, but...

This question is off topic, but as it concerns tcl/tk and X, I thought
someone here might have expertise that could help a coworker of mine. 
Simple question really:

"Is there any way to get the window id in tk of a window made by a C
program using Xview?"

Basically, she wants to make a simple tk app that can hide/iconify/etc
gui windows made by C code from other parts of the system.  I'm not
tcl/tk expert, but I though someone here might know!

I'll have a real vtk quesiton, for yall soon, promise ;)
