Deleting Cells of PolyData

Hello!

Goal of my project is to develope a 3D-rubber. To do so, I try to delete
picked cells from my polydata.

polyData->BuildLinks();
polyData->DeleteCell(ID);
polyData->Update() or Modified() or Squeeze()

produce no result. The reulting polydata object has the same number of
polygons as the origin.

Can anyone help my? Perhaps there is a simple demo code, how to delete
or better remove cells from polydata?
