Optimizations

Hello All

I trying to visualize 617x717 full resolution CT Data.  I have about 800
images. I would like to know the optimizations the I can do  
because my system easily runs out of memory.

I am reading them as PGM files. What I am ultimately intending to do is
get axial , coronal and sagittal images at arbitrary angles from the full
resolution images.

I use WindowsNT4.0 with Visual C++ and my machine is 550 Mhz Pentium with
384 Meg RAM.
