rendering problem

Hi vtkusers,

I used the vtk2.3 library through c++ on Windows NT and everything
seems fine, but now I ported the same program to an sgi IRIX6.x
system and the render windows don't seem to be automatically
redrawing itself when another window moves over it or when it
resizes.  I played around with the SetDesiredUpdateRate option
but didn't seem to have any affect.  Does anyone have any
experience with this?
