Slicing volumes generated plenty responses, thanks everyone for the help.
Suppose I have my slice and I now want to know what the values at positions
a,b,c,d,e etc etc are.
if I just want to know the value at position {x,y} - which may not be a
cell centre or vertex.
Should I use ... Probefilter... or Findcell and interpolate using
parametric coords ?
if I want to extract values along a line from {x1,y1) to {x2,y2) ?
Probefilter with a series of points along the line ?
Probefilter with a line ?
cutter ?
another ?
Probefilter seems to be a bit sluggish. Is there a more efficient routine
for structured points and regular sample spacing or line/profile extraction.
thanks
John B
