[vtk-developers] vtkFileOutputWindow and vtkCommand::MessageEvent

Hello there!

I'd like to ask if there is any reason vtkOutputWindow emits MessageEvent
when displaying text but fileOutputWindow doesn't.

also, what is the VTK way to send error messages when outside of a class
method, since vtkErrorMacro uses "this"?
