You may want to reduce the scale. In the current VTK I believe if you call
SetDistance( ) on the camera that will also adjust the scale. Specifically
I think the distance you set will be mapped into 1 meter in the real world.
Maybe give that a shot.

There are a lot of VR related changes coming in the next few weeks
hopefully. I have made them but they need to be tested and merged into VTK
master which will take a while.
