Ah, there are/were issues of the way 4.8.6 handles modal dialogs that
trip up ParaView which is why we patch and build our own version.
AFAICT, it was not appied before 4.8.6 (though it has been available on
the issue tracker for a number few years now at this point).

It was more of Qt not understanding the way the bluetooth or wireless
libraries got shuffled around in 10.10+ IIRC.
