Hi Akash,
Welcome to the VTK community!
Is there a specific functionality you're looking to get into VTK? If you
describe what you're hoping to do I'm sure you'll get helpful hints on how
to do it. If you're just looking to get some experience with VTK I'd
suggest starting out with either participating in code reviews (see
https://gitlab.kitware.com/vtk/vtk/merge_requests for pending merge
requests) or look at fixing a bug or two (some are listed at
http://www.paraview.org/Bug/view_all_bug_page.php).
There is information at http://www.vtk.org/contributing-code/ on how to
contribute to VTK. Feel free to seek out help on the mailing list -- VTK is
big enough that no one is an expert in all parts of it but the community is
very responsive and certainly someone will know parts of the code that
you're looking at.
Best regards,
Andy
