Not as is. The branches are likely based on commits in master which do
not belong in the release branch. Feel free to:

  - ping the original MR asking if it is sensible for the release
    branch (if in doubt);
  - cherry-pick (with -x please) the commits onto a new branch meant for
    the release branch; and
  - mention the old MR and author in the new MR to cross link things
    properly.
