Just as a point of information:
I've got a 2007 or 2008 Mac mini at home which only has 1G of RAM and so is
stuck on 10.6 as the last OS which will install and run on it... But that
is still beyond the 10.5 you're talking about here.

I would also be fine with discontinuing support for the older Mac stuff.
