[vtk-developers] Option to auto-detect FreeTypeFontConfig ?

Hi Folks,

What about adding an option to ask VTK build system to autodetect the
thirdparty option and enable the option?

For example Module_vtkRenderingFreeTypeFontConfig_AUTOENABLE ?

That would avoid to have to copy around FindFreeType.cmake in our
respective project to first detect the feature before enabling it. Really
would like to avoid the maintenance hell of duplicating this module ...


Alternatively, would it make sens to add freetype fontconfig as a
thirdparty in VTK ?
