Hey Randy,

Marcus and Clinton gave a bit of a summary here:

where Clinton pointed out a few tests in VTK/GUIsupport/Qt/Testing/Python. 

I have a few slight variations on his basic TestQVTKWidget.py where I place the QVTKWidget into a layout in a QMainWindow and get the interactors working properly with the vtkRenderView-based stuff for Infovis and Charts, if you're interested.
