[vtk-developers] Temporal fixes

Some time ago I made changes to the following files

vtkTemporalShiftScale.cxx
vtkTemporalShiftScale.h
vtkTemporalSnapToTimeStep.cxx
vtkTemporalSnapToTimeStep.h
( plus tweaks to vtkTemporalInterpolator.cxx
vtkTemporalInterpolator.h)

so that they would inherit from vtkDataObjectAlgorithm and not from 
vtkTemporalDatasetAlgorithm. This was to solve some of the issues 
surrounding the type change that occurs when a temporal filter is 
inserted into the pipeline.

I checked the changes in, but broke some dashboards so they were 
reverted. I'd like to try again, so I'm wondering if all the 
vtk/paraview branches have been branched for imminent releases and if 
it's ok for me to check in these changes.

I'd also like to check in a new temporal interpolator filter for 
particles and some fixes to the pathline filter.

I would also appreciate if anyone from kitware could help fixing a dodgy 
test (fractal I think it was) if for any reason I am in need of help.
