Many thanks to Berk Geveci for testing my patch on both Windows and
linux.  It seems everything is fine and ready for checkin!

I am familiar with subversion, but much less familiar with CVS.  This
patch is rather complicated in the sense that files have been added,
removed, moved, renamed, and changed.  Is there anything to worry about
here?  Can I just use 'cvs add' and 'cvs remove'?
