Very odd.  I suggest the following:
 - uninstall Xcode (in Terminal type: "sudo /Developer/Tools/uninstall-
devtools.pl")
 - reboot
 - install Xcode 1.5 (from <http://connect.apple.com>)

I'd do the same (but use Xcode 2.4.1 if it's a 10.4.x machine).

That's correct.  And I infer that kronder is also a 10.3.x machine, and
dashmacmini2 a 10.4.x machine.
