Thanks Andy for all your work!  I am not sure that we need to
automatically load the modules.  If just creating a new interpreter
fixes the problem on the other platforms I think that should do just
fine.  Basically VTK will provide a saner Python interpreter than the
distro so that VTK and Python are happy with each other.  What do the
others think?
