I'd suggest not checking out VTK on top of vtk when on windows. I did test this case and my cvs reported a reasonable message. cvs server: existing repository /cvsroot/VTK/vtk does not match /cvsroot/VTK/VTK cvs server: ignoring module VTK But some folk may have different results. Ken
