[Viame] Newbie CMake error

Aloha -

Am trying to build CMake on a new Ubuntu VM.  I get the following error.  Be advised, this is all new to me and I have NO idea what I am doing :-)

Install the project...

CMake Error at cmake_install.cmake:36 (file):
  file cannot create directory: /usr/local/doc/cmake-3.6.  Maybe need
  administrative privileges.
