Hi,
Yes Kiwi can be used to read DICOM files. The VES specific classes refer to how the images are rendered on mobile devices (using OpenGL-ES). All readers and filters etc. in the base VTK library can still be used with VES/kiwi applications. So vtkDICOMImageReader() will still work on a mobile device

Hi Samuel,
I'm looking for a good base to create a DICOM viewer for android. I think KIWI could be that base, but first I want to be sure that I'll get to read dicom files easily. Could you read correctly dicom files with Kiwi?
