[Ves] Errors during VES building using make -j4

Hi Chaudhary,

 

VES is totally new to me. I just follow the developer's guide. First I
downloaded and installed Git. Then I checkouted VES from $ git clone
git://vtk.org/VES.git. Then I installed CMake and followed the four steps in
README.txt in the Apps/iOS folder to install VES. Then I tried to debug
KiwiViewer and got the errors (the one I mentioned in my last question, and
another one is DropboxSDK.h file not found). 
 
I don't know what version of VES I got and also I don't know what git sha
is. Everything is just new for me. I need some hand by hand guidance to get
the KiwiViewer work.

I think I know the problem but before I answer it clearly, could you please
let me know what version of VES you are using? master or next? Also git sha
would be nice.

question. In step 4 of creating a symlink, do I need to go to Apps/iOS
directory using $ cd <ves src dir>/Apps/iOS and then run $ ln -s <build
dir>/CMakeExternals/Install/frameworks ./frameworks?

 

Yes, this is also mentioned in the README.txt for Apps/iOS

instruction in README.txt under VES/Apps/iOS. The make -j4 is the 3rd step
in that instruction file. 

Attached is the CMakeCache.txt file. By the way, I was at the very beginning
stage of VES.

I have not seen this error before. What branch of VES you are tying to
build? Also can you send us your CMakeCache.txt?
