[Smtk-developers] Qt5 build

Hi David,

Would you please try the following smtk patch?
It should iron out most of the errors. For my trial, the only problem is
about how to build qt5 with openssl enabled on Linux... A homebrew qt5 on
mac should be able to bypass the error as "qt5 cannot find openssl".
