[Paraview] [EXTERNAL] Black box when starting parvaview

I have seen this with ParaView 5.4 on one of my 3-4 year old laptops. I
have to turn off the nvidia chip so I am using the Intel GPU to see the
issue. For me it impacts all rendering, not just volumes as some have
reported. As soon as I startup PV 5.4 I get the black box in the corner
where the axis actor is positioned.
I just realized Cory and Utkarsh are both on vacation which is probably why
this issue has been a bit quite on the Kitware side.
