[Paraview] Color legend not working properly

Hi there,

Today I updated Paraview from 4.x.x to 5.3.0, by uninstalling the old version then downloading the Linux 64-bit binary tarball. I'm using Debian 8.7.

Everything works fine, except the color legend only shows a single color, no matter if I attempt to rescale or otherwise customize it.

The issue persists after restarting Paraview and even the entire computer. Any advice on what might be causing this is welcome!
