[Paraview] texture dropdown disabled, can't set texture on polygonal mesh

Hello,

I am trying to put a texture (png file) onto the surface of a polygonal
mesh.

I go to the properties tab, enabled Advanced, go to Miscellaneous...

Right after "pickable" is the texture dropdown. But it is disabled. I can't
figure out how to load my texture. See attached screenshot.
